Holi

This past Saturday, my friends and I attended to Holi festival of colors. It was a fun and exciting day. We got to experience music, food, dance, and excitement from this wonderful culture. This is their temple that is in Salem Utah. For more information about this tradition you can check out this link: http://www.holifestival.org/festival-of-colours.html

When they give the word, we throw our colors in the air which is a flour, chalk like substance. It was all over us!! It was difficult to see and breathe. I had purple chalk coming out of my nose all day. It was fun but wow! It was interesting.

Here is my buddy Nate and I before the throwing of colors.

This is after. There was a man in orange walking around. I never found out his purpose.
CHEESE!!!

This doesn't even justify how many people were there. If you have ever seen Field of Dreams, how at the end there were cars lined up to come to the park, that's how this was. People were parking and walking for miles to get here.

The sun was killer at that hour.
Here's Amanda, her husband Matt, and Nate

The ladies. Kimber, Me and Amanda.

Love that! Wish I could throw some colors up in the air too.
