"Now that it's all over, what did you really do yesterday that's worth mentioning? "

I saw this quote today, and it made me think. Really, sit there and think about my day.

"Now that it's all over, what did you really do yesterday that's worth mentioning?"

Did I do anything extraordinary?
Was I kind to others?
Did I say my prayers?

I sometimes feel we live each day but we aren't really enjoying the day and truly living. Just this last Monday in my town, there was a terrible car accident that left a man dead. Did he know when he got into his car to go to work that it would be the last thing he did? I know we always hear the saying "Carpe Diem" (cease the day). But are we really ceasing the day? Are we trying to better ourselves everyday and living a happy, exciting life or are we enjoying a simple, vanilla life style?

Too often I feel people get comfortable in their bubble. I can admit I'm that way sometimes. I am content and accustomed to my surroundings and I don't allow anything new to happen. I want to encourage anyone who reads this to try something new everyday. Whether it's a new food or breaking a bad habit. To help stir your thoughts, here are somethings I've been working on and am going to push to do more.

-Cutting soda out of my diet. It is terrible for your body. (It deteriorates your bone density which causes them to crack and break as we age.)
-Saying my prayers and reading my scriptures every night and REALLY understanding what I'm reading.
-Spending less and saving more.
-Telling those I love what they mean to me.
-Draw more
-Baking :)
-Practice and learn my talents the Lord has blessed me with (little did I know I would be an expert knitter.)
-Becoming organized and STAYING organized.
-Not watching TV when I'm bored but actually do something productive.

Well those are somethings but I'm sure I have more. But I do challenge each of you to be able to go to bed at night and say "Today was a good day".

Although, I must say, my favorite thing about yesterday was when my boyfriend called me babe. It totally made me smile.
