Stand Ye In Holy Places

This past Sunday, Jourdan and I had the chance to attend our churches annual General Conference. Twice a year, the leaders of our church come together and give talks (speeches) to us to help us learn and give us advice to live better. I am grateful for the chance to hear our Prophet Thomas S. Monson speak. He is a wise man who guides us so we may live our lives righteously to return to our Father in Heaven. Sadly during this wonderful weekend of uplifting, there are protesters there to mock us and try to bring us down. They stand outside the gates shouting at us and have their signs waving high. It's quite sad especially because the things they are yelling about aren't even truths about our beliefs. People always hate what they don't understand. I know I am a child of God and He wants nothing but happiness for me. He knows life will be hard on us but that is why he is there. I know prayer is the way to speak directly to Him. I love my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. I am grateful everyday that Christ paid the ultimate price so that we may return to Heaven and live with our Father. I know that without Him, we would be lost. He is the reason to wake up everyday. The reason to go out and find those that may not belief and teach them of His holy scriptures and the wonderful miracles He performed. Everyday the world becomes worse and it's sad but I know that as long as I stay on the straight and narrow path of truth and righteousness I will see my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.
This picture below shows fellow LDS members singing hymns along the sidewalk. It was an incredible feeling walking through this.
