Well, I'm putting down the sign and picking up a shoe! I soooooo did not enjoy the sign holding job. I never thought I would ever work the corner in my life!! And thank Buddha something better came along.
I was offered a job to be an assistant for shoe parties. Aning, I am still a nanny, I was just looking for something small and simple to do during the evenings and/or weekends. I am very excited about this! My job entitles me to get there with the manager 30 minutes before the party starts and set up the display for the shoes and during the party assist in helping find sizes and running back and forth to the trailer to get shoes. Help with any questions needing to be answered and when the party is done, I take down the display and call it a night! For anyone who knows me well, knows my love for shoes. I get a couple of pairs for free in the beginning because I have to wear their shoes at each party. And then I get at least 50% off any shoe I purchase after that. I am very excited about this position and opportunity.
