Today on Good Morning America they were talking about the amazing Michael Phelps. Turns out, back in 2004 the company Speedo offered Phelps $1,000,000 if he won 7 gold. Speedo was a little sneaky and went to an insurance company so that they would only have to pay Phelps 30% of it. So he would only get $300,000. That's a big difference if you ask me. Phelps didn't get the seven.
This year Speedo offered him the million again. They tried to be sneaky but funny enough, when Speedo went to different insurance companies, they all turned Speedo down because they were certain Phelps would win all 7 medals. So tonight, if Phelps wins the gold, not only will he have won the most medals in an Olympics, but will be going home with $1,000,000 from Speedo. fGo America!
