June Happenings

Not much has happened in my life. I seem to stay busy but I find that there isn't much to blog about. Work has been great. I've had a few days off because my boss had a few family trips to take. I've been knitting a lot. I've made tons of baby hats, I'm still working on the blanket to place at the foot of my bed.

This coming Sunday, I have been asked to give a talk in church. My subject is on the word of wisdom. Most people talk about drinking and smoking and caffeine, but I want to talk about eating right and exercise. If any of you have thoughts or pointers for my talk PLEASE PLEASE tell me what they are. I would greatly appreciate it.

Life has been a little weird with Rachel being gone. Usually when I'm visiting friends in Provo I swing by to see Rachel and her family. But now I just go home. I do miss Jones and Lacey. Don't forget Rae, "momma you need to buy Ally a ticket". But I'm still not moving home. "To find a dream and a life of her own...... But now she won't be coming back with the rest, if these are life's lessons, she'll take this test...."
So Mackinlay, any money you've been betting on me going back home, feel free to take it off the table :)

I love hearing about what is going on!! I love your idea for Word of Wisdom. You could bring up the blessings promised to us if we keep the W of W... like health and strength etc and the fact that we can call upon those blessings when needed. What a great blessing! Sounds like life is good. Keep us updated!

You are such an independent woman! I am so proud of the person you have become...I don't technically have any pointers for your talk, just my own testimony of eating right and exercise and how big of a difference it makes in my life, being able to have the energy to take care of my family, my household and work full time. I would be very interested in reading whatever you come up with if you feel like posting it! Love ya!

Pointers for Word of Wisdom...you have probably thought of this but talk about the section in D&C where it talks about eating the grains of the earth and eating meat sparily yada yada yada. My mom is a dietician and is often asked to present to church groups and that is where she ALWAYS starts=) Good luck.

Hey there! I hope that you had a great picnic the other day. You need to come over and see us because I have forgotten what you look like it has been so long.
