Sunday evening around 7:25, I was over at Darren's place when his roommate walked in and said "I just got a text from the prophets grandson, (they served their mission together) I think the prophet just passed away".It was quiet for a minute while we all thought about it. As sad as it is to lose such an amazing leader, I'm excited to see where our church goes now. Who will lead us, what he will teach us. But I'm very happy for the prophet Gordon B. Hinckley. A few years ago he lost his wife, two years after her passing he gave a talk in which he said "Before I married her, she had been the girl of my dreams, to use the words of a song then popular. She was my dear companion for more than two-thirds of a century, my equal before the Lord, really my superior. And now in my old age, she has again become the girl of my dreams. My beloved companion of 67 years left me two years ago. I miss her more than I can say".
I know this church that I am a part of is the true church that Jesus Christ started when He was on the earth. I am so grateful for latter day prophets and that our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He gives us a man of honesty to lead this church. I know that in Heaven we will see our loved ones again. I do not believe in the vows of till death do us part, I know that whoever I marry, our marriage will not only be bond on earth but also in Heaven. I am happy that Gordon B. Hinckley is with his dear wife again. I can only imagine how the angels sang when he was welcomed above.
"I'm not worried about what people will say about me now or in the future after I've gone...as long as I do what is expected of me," Hinckley said during the Larry King interview. He has led The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints forward and has blessed us in thousands of ways.
Here is the last verse in the hymn, We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet.
"We'll sing of his goodness and mercy;
We'll praise him by day and by night;
Rejoice in his glorious Gospel,
And bask in its life-giving light;
Thus on to eternal perfection
The honest and faithful will go;
While they who reject this glad message,
Shall never such happiness know.

It's crazy to think that President Hinckley won't be at the next conference! He will def. be missed!
We're living up in Idaho Falls right now. We bought a house almost two years ago and we love it! Well, except for all the snow! YUCK!
